- 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Cream together at high speed in your mixer the cheese, butter, salt and pepper.

2When smooth and creamy, gradually add 1 1/2 cups flour.

3When it gets too thick for the mixer blades, continue kneading by hand until you can form the mixture into a roll about 1-inch in diameter. Wrap the roll in plastic wrap or wax paper and refrigerate for 2 hours.

4Slice into thin layers and bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

5You can freeze before or after baking.
