Cheesy Spinach & Pasta Bake

  • 1 (7-ounce) package uncooked dried elbow macaroni
  • 1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Land O Lakes Butter
  • 1 small (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning*
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
  • 1 (9- to 10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pasta sauce, if desired

    Heat oven to 350F.

    Cook macaroni according to package directions.

    Drain.

    Set aside.

    Sprinkle bread crumbs into buttered 3-quart casserole.

    Melt butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling; stir in onion, Italian seasoning, pepper and garlic.

    Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until onion is softened (2 to 3 minutes).

    Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 2-4 minutes or until spinach is heated through.
