- 2 lb. yellow squash
- 1 lb. zucchini
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 1 c. water
- 4 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
- 3/4 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 tsp. marjoram
Directions

1Slice squash and place in saucepan with chopped onion.

2Add sugar, salt, pepper and water.

3Bring to a boil and cook until tender.

4Drain and mash.

5Combine bacon, cheese, egg and marjoram; add to mashed squash.

6Put into a 2-quart casserole.

7Sprinkle cheese over top.
