  • 6 egg whites, beaten
  • 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. soda crackers, broken in small pieces
  • 3/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 pkg. Dream Whip
  • 1 can thickened cherries

Directions

    Add cream of tartar to the beaten egg whites; beat until stiff and gradually add white sugar and beat until peaks form.

    Fold in soda crackers.

    Add nuts and vanilla.

    Put in a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 25 minutes at 350°.

    Cool until cold. Mix Dream Whip with no sugar.

    Put over cracker mixture and cover with thickened cherries.

    Let stand 4 to 5 hours.
