- 1/3 c. flour
- 3/4 c. rolled oats
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 1 (16 oz.) can pitted sour cherries
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Combine the flour and rolled oats.

2Cut in the margarine until the mixture is crumbly; mix in 1/3 cup sugar.

3Set aside for topping.

4Drain cherries reserving the juice.

5Combine the remaining sugar with the cornstarch, spices and lemon juice, slowly blending in cherry juice.

6Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce is thick and clear.

7Add the cherries. Pour into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.

8Sprinkle with the topping.

9Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
