  • 12 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 12 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups unbleached white flour
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 large egg
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sour cherries (well drained)

Directions

    cream butter and sugars, add egg beat till blended.

    mix together flour soda and baking powder.

    alternate flour mixture with buttermilk into the butter sugar mixture.

    After this is well mixed, drain cherries and blend into the batter.

    add almond extract.

    Use cup cake pan with liners, Fill each with aprox 2 TBS batter, Bake for 20 min at 350.

    They are done when a toothpick comes out clean.
