- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 can cherry pie filling
Directions

1Cream the softened margarine and sugar.

2Add the vanilla. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the sifted flour. Add nuts last.

3Spread 3/4 of the batter in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan.

4cover with the cherry pie filling.

5Drop the remaining batter by spoonfuls on top and spread it around as best you can. (The cherries should show through a bit.)

6Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

7Cool and cut into little bars.

8Sprinkle with confectioners sugar if you like.
