  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. soda crackers, crumbled in hand
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1 pkg. Dream Whip
  • big can Thank You cherries

    Beat egg whites until frothy.

    Add cream of tartar and sugar. Beat until very stiff; add vanilla.

    (Now no more electric mixer.) You add crackers and mix by hand.

    Add nuts.

    Put in greased 9 x 9-inch pan.

    Bake in 350° oven 30 to 35 minutes or until light beige.

    Cool.
