- 1 (17 oz.) can pitted dark sweet cherries
- 3 oz. pkg. cherry jello
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
- 3 oz. pkg. cherry jello
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. cold water
Directions

1Drain cherries; reserve 3/4 cup syrup.

2Dissolve jello in boiling water; add reserved syrup.

3Gradually add to softened cream cheese, mixing until well blended.

4Put into oiled 1 1/2-quart mold.

5Chill until almost set.

6Dissolve jello in boiling water; add cold water and chill until partially set.

7Fold in cherries.
-
8Pour over molded layer.

9Chill until firm.
-
10Unmold, surround with lettuce.

11Makes 6 to 8 servings.
