- 1 can red cherries (no pie filling)
- 1 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 heaping c. sugar
- 3/4 stick oleo
- dash of salt
- squirt of lemon
Directions

1Start cold.

2Drain juice from cherries into 1-quart pan.

3Mix cornstarch (sprinkle).

4Stir well.

5Then under low-medium heat, add sugar and oleo.

6Stir in dash of salt, then add cherries. Stir in lemon.

7Put in uncooked pie shell.

8Cover with additional pie strips or slit top if using whole shell.

9Bake at 400° until golden brown, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
