Cherry Pineapple Pie

  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. red food coloring
  • 1 (3 oz.) box cherry jello
  • 4 bananas
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 baked pie shells
  • whipped topping or Cool Whip

Directions

    Bring to a boil the pie filling, pineapple, sugar, cornstarch and coloring.

    Take off heat and add the jello.
  3. 3
    Put in refrigerator to cool.

    Dice the bananas and add them along with the nuts to the filling and fill the pie shells.

    Add whipped topping or Cool Whip to the tops.

    Sprinkle with a few more chopped pecans.
