  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. lemon extract or juice
  • 10x sugar (powdered)

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, flour and vanilla.

    Blend well.

    Spread batter on cookie sheet.

    Cut the surface of batter with a knife to make 35 squares.

    Spoon pie filling on top of squares.

    Batter will puff up around pie fillings.

    Bake for 30 minutes at 350° until golden brown.

    Cut 35 squares and sprinkle with powdered (10x) sugar.
