  • 1 can (16 oz.) pitted tart cherries, undrained
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • dash of salt

Directions

    Drain liquid from cherries, reserving 1/2 cup of the liquid.

    Pour liquid into small saucepan.

    Add sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt; mix well.

    Cook on medium heat until clear and thickened, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in cherries; cool.

    Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
