- 1/2 c. butter or margarine (1/4 lb.)
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. vanilla pudding
- 1 can sour cherries
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Mix flour and 2 tablespoons sugar; cut in margarine.

2Press into a 9 x 6-inch pan; bake in hot (400°) oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes.

3Make pudding as directed on package.

4When cool, but not set, spread on crust.

5Heat cherries.

6Add sugar mixed with cornstarch; stir constantly until thickened.

7Cool slightly; spread on top of pudding.

8Top with whipped cream. Serves 8.
