   Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

   Pour into bowl.

   To butter, add

   cake mix, 1 egg and vanilla. Stir with fork.

   Press into pan. In mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and 2 eggs.

   Beat on high speed for 5 minutes.

   Pour over mixture in pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
