  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. + 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 9-inch pie crust (deep dish)

Directions

    Heat 1 cup sugar, brown sugar, milk, flour and butter until dissolved.

    Let cool.

    Beat 1 whole egg, 3 egg yolks and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

    Add to cooled mixture.

    Pour into unbaked pie crust.

    Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Turn oven down to 250° until firm on edge, about 10 minutes.
