Chess Squares

Directions

   Preheat oven to 350°.

   Mix together cake mix and softened butter.

   Add one egg.

   Press mixture into rectangle baking pan to form a crust.

   Cream the cream cheese and add eggs, slightly beaten, 1 at a time to cream cheese.

   Add confectioners sugar to mixture.

   (Save 5 teaspoons out.) Pour mixture over crust and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

   Dust lightly with remaining confectioners sugar.

   Cool; cut into squares.
