- 2 (14-ounce) cans chick peas, drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Handful grated Parmigiano Reggiano
Directions

1After rinsing, dry chick peas in a kitchen towel.

2In a dry nonstick skillet over medium heat add the chick peas.

3Season with black pepper, to taste, and cook, shaking pan often until chick peas are toasted and light golden brown, about 7 minutes.

4Stir in the cheese and toss to coat chick peas.

5Serve as a snack or starter.
