- 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) ready-to-cook fryer, cut up
- 2 medium onions, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 medium green pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Slowly brown chicken in 1/4 cup hot oil.

2Remove from skillet. Add onion and garlic to skillet; cook until tender, but not brown.

3Combine remaining ingredients together, creating sauce. Add chicken to skillet and pour sauce over.

4Cover and let simmer for 45 minutes.

5Cook, uncovered, turning chicken occasionally, for another 20 minutes or until chicken is tender and sauce is thick.
