- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. cut up broiler-fryer chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb. can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. basil, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed (optional)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 c. dry white wine
Directions

1Place sliced onions in bottom of crock-pot.

2Add chicken pieces, minced garlic, tomato sauce, salt, pepper, herbs and white wine.

3Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high 2 1/4 to 4 hours.

4Serve chicken pieces with sauce over hot buttered spaghetti or noodles.
