Ingredients
- 1 broiler-fryer chicken, cut in serving pieces
- 3 c. water
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- 3 sprigs parsley
- 2 ribs celery with leaves
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dried leaf thyme
- 4 carrots, pared and sliced
- 1/3 c. uncooked regular rice
- 1 (1 lb.) can cream-style corn
- 2 c. milk
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
Directions

1In a large saucepan, place chicken, water and bouillon cubes, parsley, onions, bay leaf, salt and thyme.

2Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, until chicken is tender. Strain broth and return to saucepan.

3Remove chicken from bones. Cut into cubes and set aside.
