  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 c. chopped, cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 (10 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 3 c. chicken broth
  • 1 (16 oz.) can peas and carrots, drained
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Melt margarine in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish in a 400° oven. Combine flour, baking powder and milk in a bowl.

    Mix well. Spoon evenly into margarine in dish. Do not mix.

    Combine chicken, soup, chicken broth, peas and carrots, and salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Spoon evenly into prepared dish. Do not stir. Bake at 400° for 40 to 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
