- 2 cups flour, all-purpose
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 each eggs unbeaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 3 cups chicken cooked
- 1 cup ham cooked
- 8 ounces mushrooms, canned as well as pieces, drained
- 1/2 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 cup almonds toasted, sliced
- 2 cups chicken broth hot
- 1 cup cream light
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon nutmeg
- 1/4 tablespoon allspice
- 18 tablespoon black pepper
Directions

1Sift together flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.

2Cut in butter until particles are fine.

3Combine egg with milk.

4Add to dry ingredients; stir until dough is formed.

5Divide into 2 parts, one slightly larger.

6Roll out larger piece on floured surface to a 15x12-inch rectangle.

7fit into an ungreased 12x8-inch baking dish, pressing dough against sides and bottom of dish.

8CHICKEN FILLING: Combine chicken, ham, mushroom pieces, flour and almonds.

9Turn into pastry-lined pan.

10Roll out remaining dough to a 12x7-inch rectangle.

11Cut lengthwise into 1-inch strips.

12Place 4 strips lengthwise over filling.

13Cut remaining strips in half and place crosswise over filling making a lattice top.

14BROTH: Combine broth, cream, salt, nutmeg, allspice and pepper.

15Pour over lattice top.

16Bake at 375F (190C) for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown.
