  • 2 c. cornmeal
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • small loaf bread, toasted
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 sticks butter, melted and let cool
  • 1 Tbsp. sage
  • 1 Tbsp. black pepper
  • 2 c. celery
  • 1 c. onion
  • enough chicken broth to make soupy

Directions

    Mix first 5 ingredients together.

    Bake at 350° until brown (this is the cornbread).

    Mix all remaining ingredients; add cooked cornbread.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.

    Pour 1 cup broth over top and cook for 30 minutes.
