Chicken Dressing Dinner

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. diced celery
  • 1/4 c. onion, chopped
  • 1 qt. chicken broth
  • 1 lb. loaf bread
  • 1 large chicken, cooked and diced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Melt butter in skillet and sear celery and onion until tender. Break bread into small pieces and moisten with broth.

    Add remaining ingredients and mix.

    Pour into 9 x 13-inch baking pan. If too dry, add more broth.

    Must be firm enough to cut, but not dry.

    Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in moderate oven.
