Ingredients

  • 1 frying chicken
  • 3 medium size onions
  • 6 carrots
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 5 bouillon cubes, chicken flavor
  • 2 c. Jiffy baking mix
  • 2/3 c. milk

Directions

    Cook chicken in pot of water with onion, carrots & celery till tender.

    Remove chicken and cool.
  3. 3
    Tear chicken from bones. Discard skin and bones.

    Let chicken stock cool.

    Remove fat from top of broth.
  6. 6
    Reheat broth along with the chicken, carrots, onion and celery.

    Add bouillon cubes and bring to boil.

    Make dumplings by mixing baking mix and milk together.

    Roll out and cut into squares - add to the boiling broth mixture.

    Cook 20 minutes. Best served in soup bowls.
