  • 1/4 c. oleo
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 can chicken rice soup
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 3 c. cut up, cooked chicken
  • 1/4 c. slivered almonds
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 pkg. frozen asparagus pieces

    Melt oleo in pan.

    Add almonds.

    Brown lightly.

    Add flour, salt and pepper.

    Blend well.

    Add soup and broth.

    Stir until thick and smooth.

    Defrost asparagus.

    Grease a 2-quart casserole. Arrange chicken and asparagus in alternate layers.

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
