- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up
- 2 c. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 8 pork sausage links or turkey links
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 1 large clove garlic
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- snipped parsley
Directions

1Remove skin from chicken.

2Place chicken, water, salt and pepper in Dutch oven.

3Heat to boiling, reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes.

4Remove chicken from broth.

5Skim fat from broth.

6Strain broth.
