Chicken Paprika

  • 3 lb. chicken, cut in pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. Crisco or cooking oil
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 Tbsp. paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • parsley
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. flour

Directions

    In a heavy saucepan, melt Crisco or oil.

    Chop medium large onions and add to oil.
  3. 3
    Saute until transparent.

    Add paprika. Makes a bright red color.

    Add chicken pieces with parsley to really cover chicken.

    Let stew 1 1/2 hours.

    Remove chicken and place in bowl.

    To juices of meat, add milk and flour.

    Mix well. Add the chicken back and cook on low for 5 minutes.

    Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles or rice.
