- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. onion, chopped fine
- 1 frying chicken (2 1/2 to 3 lb.)
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. paprika
- chicken broth
- 3 oz. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- Spoon Dumplings
Directions

1In a large heavy skillet, heat the oil. Add onion and cook until soft.

2Add chicken pieces and brown. Sprinkle with paprika to taste and cover chicken with broth.

3Cook, covered, until tender (about 45 minutes).

4Remove chicken to heated platter and keep warm. Thicken remaining broth with milk, sour cream and flour, stirring constantly.

5Arrange Spoon Dumplings around chicken on platter and serve with prepared gravy. Serves 4.
