Chicken Parisiane

  • 6 medium chicken breast (halves)
  • 1/2 c. white cooking wine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • paprika
  • 1 c. sour cream or to taste
  • hot, cooked rice

Directions

    Wash and dry chicken.

    Salt and pepper.

    Place, skin side up, in baking dish.

    Blend wine and soups together well.

    Add mushrooms, if desired.

    Pour over chicken.

    Cover and bake in 350° oven for 1 1/4 hours.

    Remove cover and bake for 10 more minutes. Place chicken on rice and mix chicken drippings with sour cream and heat on low until hot.

    Spoon over chicken and rice and pour in gravy boat on the side.
