- 2 lb. boneless chicken
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 small jar Ragu or homemade sauce
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 8 slices or pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Pound and cut chicken into serving pieces.

3Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4Lightly beat egg and milk.

5Combine Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.

6Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

7Pour sauce to cover baking dish; set aside. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then in bread crumbs.

8Melt Crisco in a skillet; brown chicken on both sides.

9Place chicken in baking dish.

10Place sliced cheese on top of chicken or sprinkle shredded cheese on top.

11Pour remaining sauce on top of chicken.

12Cover baking dish with foil.

13Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
