- 1 whole chicken or 4 breasts (reserve broth)
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 c. oil
Directions

1Cook chicken until tender; bone chicken and tear into bite size pieces.

2Put into large baking dish.

3Melt margarine.

4Add sweet milk, pepper, salt and margarine to broth; bring to a boil. Pour over chicken.

5Make batter of flour, buttermilk and oil; pour over top of pie.

6Bake at 350° for 40 minutes, or until top is brown.
