- 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 stick melted margarine
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cook chicken; remove skin and bones.

2Cut into small pieces. Place in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

3Mix soup and broth; bring to a boil.

4Mix margarine, salt, pepper, flour and buttermilk; stir to form batter.

5Pour over chicken the soup and broth.

6Spoon batter over top.

7Bake at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
