- 1 whole fryer
- 1 can cream of chicken soup, plus 1/2 c. water or broth
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 stick margarine, melted
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 can Veg-All or English peas (optional)
Directions

1Boil and debone chicken.

2Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix soup with 1/2 can broth or water and pour over chicken. Add Veg-All (drained) or peas.

3Make batter of flour, melted margarine and buttermilk.

4Pour evenly over mixture.

5Pour 2 cups broth over all. Do not stir.

6Bake until brown, about 1 hour at 350°.
