  • 1 lb. beef flank or boneless sirloin
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 c. chicken broth (use bouillon)
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 c. cold water
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 16 oz. frozen stir-fry vegetables, thawed
  • rice or Chinese noodles

Directions

    Trim fat from beef; cut with grain into 2-inch strips.

    Cut strips across into 1/8-inch slices.

    Toss beef in vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, salt, sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder and pepper.

    Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
