- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped carrots
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. celery
- 1/3 c. margarine
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 c. chopped chicken
Directions

1Saute onion, celery and carrots in margarine for 10 minutes. Add flour to mixture, stirring well.

2Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

3Combine broth and milk; stir in gradually.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbly.

5Add chicken, salt and pepper.

6Pour into 2-quart casserole.

7Top with Pastry.

8Cut slits in top to let steam escape.

9Place Pastry also in casserole before adding filling.

10Bake at 400° for 40 minutes.
