  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c. onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 2 c. cut up chicken
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots or 1 can Veg-All
  • 2 (9-inch) pie crusts

    Boil and bone chicken.

    Heat margarine on low heat.

    Blend flour, onion, salt and pepper.

    Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth.

    Stir in broth and milk; bring to a boil for 1 minute.

    Add chicken and vegetables.

    Pour into pie shell and cover with another pie shell.

    Bake in 350° oven until cheese is brown.
