  • 3 large chicken breasts, split, salted and peppered
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 c. cooking Sauterne (wine)
  • 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 1 (3 oz.) can broiled, sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. green chopped pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed thyme

Directions

    Brown chicken in butter or margarine.

    Add soup to drippings. Slowly add wine (stir until smooth).

    Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

    Uncover and cook until tender.

    Serve with fluffed rice.
