Chicken Simmered in Potato Sauce

  • 300 grams Chicken breast (skinless)
  • 100 grams after peeling Potatoes
  • 1 Shredded leek (white part only)
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 200 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Salt
  • 1 Vegetable oil

Directions

    Shred or julienne the white part of the Japanese leek finely and soak in a bowl of water.

    Peel the potato.

    Cut the chicken breast into 5 mm slices.

    Heat oil in a pan and saute the meat, taking care not to let it burn.

    Add the sake and water and boil for 2-3 minutes, then add the sugar, soy sauce and salt.

    Grate the potato.

    Add the grated potato and let the pan come to a simmer.

    Transfer to a serving plate and top with plenty of shredded white leek to finish.
