- 1 1/2 qt. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, split
- celery leaves
- 1 ready to cook chicken
- 6 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 qt. cut up cabbage
- 4 medium carrots, sliced in half
- 4 medium onions, quartered
- poultry seasoning
Directions

1Combine all ingredients.

2Rinse chicken under cold water; bring to boil.

3Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.

4Cut chicken into bite-size pieces; discard bones and skin.

5Strain broth and skim off fat.

6Return broth to kettle.

7Add bouillon.

8Stir until dissolved.

9Add vegetables; simmer until tender.

10Add chicken and simmer 5 minutes.
