- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 2 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. cooked, cut up chicken
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Directions

1Cook chicken first.

2Melt butter over low heat.

3Gradually blend in flour, salt and pepper.

4Let mixture come to a boil over low heat.

5Remove from heat and stir in chicken broth and milk. Return to heat and bring mixture to a boil, stirring all the time. Boil one minute, cut heat to low and fold in chicken.

6Cook until mixture is slightly thickened.

7Pour over corn bread.
