  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. instant onion
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) mushroom soup
  • 3 chicken breasts, cut in half or 1 whole chicken, cut up
  • 1 c. regular rice
  • 1 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Melt margarine in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

    Stir in rice, onion flakes, salt, soup and water.

    Place chicken breasts over top of mixture.

    Sprinkle with pepper.

    Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 to 1 1/4 hours.
