- 3 cups beef or 3 cups pork, cut into cubes
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 14 teaspoon ground cumin
- 3 cups water
- 1 bay leaf
- salt and pepper
Directions

1In a large pot, brown meat in cooking oil.

2Add flour and stir until browned.

3Add next four ingredients, and cook until onion is tender.

4Slowly add water and bring to a boil.

5Reduce heat, add bay leaf and simmer until meat is tender, 2-3 hours.

6Salt and pepper to taste.
