Ingredients

  • 5 lb. coarse ground beef
  • 1 (64-oz.) can tomato juice
  • 1 whole clove of garlic, chopped
  • 2 1/2 pkg. chili seasoning (Williams is preferred)
  • 3 (15-16 oz.) cans beans (kidney, pinto or your choice)
  • salt to taste
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 hands full oatmeal

Directions

    Cook beef until done (does not need to be brown).

    Add tomato juice, salt, sugar, chili seasoning and beans.

    Continue cooking about 20 minutes.

    Add garlic and cook 5 more minutes.

    Add cocoa and oatmeal; cook until oatmeal disappears (about 10 to 15 minutes).
