  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 bell peppers, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 (398 ml) cans beans, chili style
  • 1 (796 ml) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • salt and pepper

    brown ground beef; drain.

    while ground beef is draining, add oil, celery, peppers and onions and saute until soft.

    return ground beef to pot and add remaining ingredients; salt and pepper to taste.

    simmer 1 to 3 hours.
