- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. garlic juice or 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. chili powder
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 can Ranch beans (optional)
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Brown meat and onions; drain well.

2Add chili powder and cook for a minute.

3Then add salt, garlic juice and tomato sauce. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 20 to 30 minutes.

4Add 2 cups water.

5Cook in a heavy pan over low heat for at least 2 hours. The longer it cooks the better.

6Add beans, undrained, in the last 30 minutes of cooking.

7Serves 4.
