- 4 tsp. fat
- 1 c. onions
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 c. celery
- 1 small clove garlic
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 2 c. red kidney beans
Directions

1Melt fat.

2Add onions, pepper, celery and garlic.

3Cook until partly tender.

4Add beef and cook until light brown.

5Add tomatoes, chili powder and 2 tablespoons water.

6Add salt and sugar.

7Bring to boil, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 1 hour.

8Add beans and heat well.
