  • 2 1/2 lb. coarsely ground meat
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 pod dried red pepper
  • 1/4 c. chili powder
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. ground comino
  • 3 c. boiling water

    Cook until gray before adding water.

    Bring to boil over low heat (175° to 200°) for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender and flavors are thoroughly blended.

    Stir occasionally.

    If mixture becomes thicker than desired, add boiling water.

    Makes about 8 cups.
