  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (15 to 16 oz.) cans whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder (or more if desired)
  • 2 tsp. sugar

Directions

    Brown beef and onion; drain fat.

    Add rest of ingredients and simmer for 30 to 60 minutes.
